                                   Present Tense

The present tense of a verb tells us that the action

                  is happening right now.

                  She sweeps the floor.

Singular present tense verbs end with s or es

es is added to the verb that ends with s, ch, sh, x, z

                Sarah brushes her hair.

                 Mike fixes the car.

When the verb ends with y more often than not you must

change the y to i and add es

                For example:

                fry

                Mother fries the fish.
